Askeri İstihbarat Şefleri Üsküp'te buluştu
Güneydoğu Avrupa Askeri İstihbarat Şeflikleri (SEEMİC) toplantılarının altıncısı dün Üsküp'te açıldı.
Toplantının açılışını yapan Makedonya Savunma Bakanı Zoran Yoelvski, barış ve güvenliğin refahın şartlarından olduğunu söylerken, gelecek nesillere daha rahat bir gelecek vermek için ABD, AB ve NATO'nun birlikte özgürlük ve demokrasiye saygı duyarak çalıştığını söyledi.
Yolevski, "Güncel tehlikeler sadece bir ülkeye yönelik değil. Bu yüzden, söz konusu tehlikelerle başa çıkmak için işbirliği mecburi. Askeri istihbarat servislerinin bilgi paylaşımı büyük önem taşıyor" ifadelerini kullandı.
"Güneydoğu Avrupa'da yükselen güvenlik tehlikesi olarak Siber saldırılar" ismi altında gerçekleşen toplantıda konuşan Yoelvski, sanal ortamın terörist gruplar ve dolandırıcılar tarafından kötüye kullanıldığına dikkat çekerken, Makedonya'nın Askeri Akademisi üzerinden siber tehlikelerle mücadele için önemli adımlar attığını kaydetti.
Savunma Bakanlığından yapılan açıklamada, katılımcıların 6. SEEMİC toplantısında Avrupa'nın bu bölgesindeki tehlikelere karşı işbirliğinin öneminin büyük olduğu konusunda fikir birliğine vardıkları belirtilirken, foruma üye ülkelerin bir bölümünün önceden Varşova paktı, Yugoslavya ve NATO üyeleri olmasına karşın küresel tehlikelere karşı işbirliğine dönüştüğü kaydedildi.
2009 yılında Bölgesel İşbirliği Konseyi, NATO İstihbarat Müdürlüğü ve Avrupa Birliği'nin Askeri İstihbaratı tarafından desteklenen Güneydoğu Avrupa Askeri İstihbarat Şeflikleri (SEEMİC), Kosova dışında tüm Güneydoğu Avrupa ülkelerinin askeri istihbaratlarını bir araya getirerek işbirliğini geliştirme amacını taşıyor.
Üye ülkelerin yanı sıra, bu yılki toplantıda Savunma İstihbarat Ajansı, Ulusal İstihbarat Üniversitesi ve ABD Avrupa Komutanlığı Karargahı ve Güneydoğu Avrupa Savunma Bakanlıkları Süreci (SEDM) temsilcileri de katıldı.
