Atıklarla Mücadeleye AB Desteği
Katılım Öncesi Mali Yardım (İPA) fonları kapsamında, dün Üsküp'teki AB Bilgi Merkezinde düzenlenen toplantıyla, Makedonya'nın doğu ve Kuzeydoğu bölgelerinin kapsayan atık yönetimi ve çevrenin stratejik değerlendirmesi planının tanıtımı yapıldı.
Toplantıda, Çevre ve Alan Planlama Bakanı Abdülhakim Ademi, AB Makedonya Büyükelçisi Aivo Orav ve çok sayıda davetli katıldı.
Çevre ve Alan Planlama Bakanı Abdülhakim Ademi, Makedonya'nın AB'yle müzakerelere başlaması halinde özellikle çevre alanında hazırlıklı olmak istediklerini, bu projenin de kendilerine bu konuda yardımcı olacağını belirtti.
Bu tür projelerle çevre alanındaki hedeflerini yerine getirebileceklerini kaydeden Ademi, doğu ve kuzeydoğu bölgesinde yapılan projenin, bölgesel atık yönetiminde kendilerine yardımcı olacağını dile getirdi.
Ademi, AB ve projedeki partnerlerine tecrübelerini paylaşmalarından dolayı teşekkürlerini sunarak sözlerini bitirdi.
AB'nin çevrenin korunması ve insanlara daha sağlıklı bir çevre sağlanması için projeler yürüttüğünü söyleyen AB Makedonya Büyükelçisi Aivo Orav, AB'nin bu konuya büyük önem verdiğini söyledi.
Orav, proje kapsamında alınacak önlemlerle atıkların çevreye mümkün olduğunca daha az zarar vermesinin amaçlandığını, bu şekilde doğu ve kuzeydoğu bölgesinde yaşayan insanların daha sağlıklı bir çevreye sahip olacaklarını sözlerine ekledi.
Konuşmaların sona ermesinin ardından proje sorumlusu Theofanis Lolos, proje ve uygulaması hakkında katılımcılara bilgi verdi.
Bu yılın Haziran ayında başlatılan "Bölgesel Atık yönetimi Planlarının Hazırlanması ve Doğu ve Kuzeydoğu Bölgelerinde Çevre Değerlendirmesi" projesinin 15 ay boyunca uygulanması bekleniyor. Projenin maliyetinin 1,14 milyon avro civarında olması beklenirken, 2 bölge ve 17 belediyede uygulanacak projenin 400 bin kişinin hayat standardını düzelteceğine inanılıyor.
